In a recent blog post the Talianko Design Group recorded a detailed look at what you should be asking when looking for interior designers. The first one might seem obvious, but is especially important, and that is education and accreditation. You should make sure the individual has all of the specs that you are looking for first and foremost. The next two are asking about their uniqueness and their mission. These are important questions to see where their priorities lie and if they can help you in your mission.
Asking if they have worked on similar projects, as well as, if they can complete tasks on time and within the budget will give an idea of if they are right for you. You should always make sure you know if you’ll be working with that specific designer or if they are going to pass you off. It is also important to remember to discuss how they charge for their services and if they do the purchasing for you. Remember to ask at the end if there are any other fees, or hidden fees.
